He was once known as Daemon in the Amigaworld, and brings you stories about Amiga, retrocomputing, C64, demos, the demo scene and all things nerdy in the retro world.

Autumn of 2026 is here, people, and it's shaping up to become a really, really hot such a thing for you who like demo scene music, tracker music and chiptune. We are loading up with the latest and greatest and some old stuff, as you have come to expect from Flashback.Starting up with something that competed in Evoke 2026. DJ Daemon explains the debate about AI in demo productions and the controversy.
So we have not been putting out any more episodes for a while. A month to be exact. So what's up in the demo scene you might ask? A lot actually. But one thing I want to talk about is the Assembly (demo party) and the debate about AI, because Assembly allowed AI productions to be competing in a separate competition. And AI is becoming a thing. And now recently a demo group has arrived that actually do their productions.with AI. And that's pretty hated by some and lamented by others. So that's kinda the hot thing. Should the demo scene allow AI productions? And if you say yes, the question is how much? Everything? Just a few parts or whatever. That's the interesting part on in here here in autumn of 2026. But we are 100% human music by humans. So we're gonna prove the point with Falcon and Cosmic outflow.

The word of today is Shazam. Have you tried that site? Yeah, it's a site where you can play your favorite song and it will tell you exactly what artist and song it is. Great thing if you're a little bit that you forget stuff like that. Now actually SceneSat Ziphoid is coming out with something which I believe may be called SceneZam or Satzam or SceneSatZam, I I don't know. But.When it's done, it's not out yet, but it's coming according to him. Yeah, it's gonna be that you can do the same thing with pretty much everything from Mod Land. That's awesome sauce because it means that you can play that favourite tune and it will tell you, yeah, that would be Musiklinjen. And then you would say to yourself, yeah, I probably should have known that. But still, there we are. And we are going on with the booty, because it's booty time, and we're gonna talk about pirate booty, right? That that's what it's all about?Hm? I I hope so. it's Doctor Snuggles.

Here is another medley of nice tunes. It's the middle of the night and time to enjoy two things in life. First of all, a number of really short, really nice tunes, and second of all, you won't hear my voice for a number of minutes. Much to enjoy, people. First out is Amaryllis with some weird numbers with "Rain" and it's a remake. Then it's c20g and a risky rescue and then it's Lord lure twice with him or her i don't know i think it's "him" because "lord" is a male ... Demos are really cool, and so are all the nice tracked music, the chiptunes, and the ANSI, Petski graphics, and a thousand other things. But sometimes we forget about the tools that make this possible. If you go to Pouet, you know, the big site there, for all the news from the demo scene, there has been a number of really cool compressors and stuff.That can aid your demo design. Really good tools for people that want to excel in artistry. So go there and look for yourself. I really think it's impressive how people help each other, creating those really useful things that make demos great again. So, next up is C20g, and Inside my world.

Coreus might have forgotten something in Germany. You know, his prize. He won in Revision 2026. So he has decided to go there again in 2027, and I'm going to tag along. And so are you, dear listener, because we are probably gonna broadcast live from Revision 2027. And that would be in Saarbrucken, because it's always in Saarbrucken.Yeah, we are jumping the gun and hoping that it won't be cancelled one week. Because you know, our tickets and stuff like that ... kinda expensive if you know what I mean. When Coreus came to Ericade Radio a few years ago, he started out adding interviews and we have performed a number of them. You probably haven't heard them because they are kinda stashed away on our YouTube channel, which has a number of listeners. But basically, we are now going to create a series called "Voices from the Demo Scene", where we actually let people from the demo scene speak about cool stuff.We started with the first one with Ziphoid, but we have a number of old interviews that we are going to rebroadcast as podcast episodes never heard before on Flashback, tracks from the past. So it's gonna be a good, nice autumn with a lot of cool voices, with a lot of things to say. But we also have a lot of things to play. Here comes Zabutom and "how not to do a co-op".

He got his Commodore 64 in 1989 and his first Amiga in 1990. A huge fan of tracker music and have had a long standing dream to create a radio show playing that kind of music. In 2020, that dream came true and in december Amiga Flashback started as a podcast. It was later renamed Flashback, tracks from the past and here we are.
He is also an orga for Swedish demo party Edison and a total retro nerd.
