Transcript
ericade.radio - Time for Flashback, tracks from the past - with your host DJ Daemon.
Time for flashback. Tracks from the past. With your host, DJ Daemon. Welcome fellow tracked music geeks. It's time for me to give you one hour with the greatest music. And today we're going to focus on three artists. The Danny's, Elwood and Saga Musics. Yeah, we're gonna have some other artists as well, but the focus is on those. Elwood and Sunshine coming right up.
DJ Daemon invites you to the show.
Elwood - Sunshine
DJ Daemon thanks Someonenamednate and Relas for suggesting many of the songs on this show.
some shiny song from Elwood as we are passing into autumn or fall if you want to call it that. It's September right now and I want to send some extra thank yous to two people namely someone named Nate and Rellas. They have sent a number of good songs to this station some which we are playing today and we are going on with Manwee and Lucy's Night Tale.
Manwe - Lucy's Night Tale
DJ Daemon about Swedish Commodoreklubben.
Probably missed it, I know I did. Namely, Komodori Klubben. They had a meeting where they were proving that old computer retro is still alive. They showcased a number of C64s, Amigas and stuff. And I'm sorry we didn't have anything from there. We were meant to broadcast live, but couldn't do that, so we missed them as well. We're going on with Dydanis, an ancient mathematician.
Dedanis - Ancient mathematician
DJ Daemon talks about how often Flashback will broadcast.
Talking about demo parties, we missed a number of them. Man, I'm sorry for that. I have been very busy and I haven't really had the possibility to make the shows anymore. But I'm trying to come back and I don't know if we're going to broadcast every Saturday or if it's gonna be more like once per month or something. We'll see about that. But we were going on with Elwood and Little Man.
Elwood - Little_Man
DJ Daemon talks about Elwood.
We've been spotlighting Elwood for a few minutes here. So let's talk about him. Who is he? His real name is Jussi Matti Salmela and he lives in Tampere in Western Finland. And he's also on Demosu and has his own webpage. We're going on with Mehahiti and retrograde Dream Cascade.
Meritaehti - Retrograde dream cascade
DJ Daemon talks more about Elwood.
If look at Elwood's output we can see that he has 15 songs on the mod archive and a handful of demos on Denso. So he's been quite active, maybe not recently, but still great music and he has this kind of energy in the songs. Like next, Elwood and Experience.
Elwood - Experience
DJ Daemon talks briefly about Dedanis.
We're turning the spotlight over to another artist, The Danis, and we're going to play some of his music. Now was the idea. And we are going on with The Danis and frame 22, next step. You're listening to a flashback tracks from the past and I'm Didier Deemo.
Dedanis - Frame 22 - next step
DJ Daemon names Dedanis home country.
Finding any data about Mr. TheDennis was harder than I thought. The only thing I can see is that he is on DemoZoo and he is from Russia. This is Flashback and we are going on with Dennis Davidov and Dreams in 9 kilobytes. Shiptunes, yeah!
Denis Davidov - Dreams in 9kB
DJ Daemon talks about summer and fall.
So we're entering September. Yes, everything gets colder, darker and more yellow leaves on the trees. I like that actually. The summer has been so so here in Sweden. We had some really hot days and then in July when I got my vacation then it was like more rain than sun. Anyway, yeah. We're going on with the Dandies and keep silent.
Dedanis - Keep silent!
DJ Daemon names some upcoming demo parties.
What about the demo parties? Well, good news. We have two demo parties running right now. They're called Function and Nordlischt 2023. And well, when they are done, we will get the track music, I hope, and play it on this station. And as we look at the upcoming list, it looks like this. Specky PL, party 23. Demosino UNESCO inauguration party, wow. Sack Hust.Scrawly Party Deadline 2023 and Social Demo Scene 2023. So that's what it looks like. We're going on with Elwood and far away.
Elwood - Far_Away
DJ Daemon talks about the UNSECO Cultural heritage and the demo scene.
Do you think that the demo scene is an art form? I know I do. Well, then I got some news for you. The demo scene has been accepted as a Nesco cultural heritage in the Netherlands, and this was in July, actually, this year. So obviously someone looks at what we're doing and see this as a higher form of art. I like that. We're going on with the Dane's and small and fresh.
Dedanis - Small and fresh
DJ Daemon struggles with the name of the song.
Tune to Flashback, tracks from the past, and I'm DJ Daemon. We are going on with Elwood again, and this time it's inferiority complex. Inferiority complex, can you say it? I think it's hard.
Elwood - Inferiority complex
DJ Daemon talks about how many hours this show takes to create.
As I said earlier in this program, this show is kinda hard to know when it comes back because it's a little bit too much running it each week because it takes almost 5-6 hours to get everything ready and done and recorded and promoted and everything else that it needs to be. Yeah, and we are going on now at this show with substance and truth.
SubStance - Truth
DJ Daemon leads you into that good night with the two last songs.
You're listening to Flashback, tracks from the past, and I am as per usual DJ Daemon. Well, leading you into that good night, the last two songs that we have to offer right now. They are Elwood with Neutral Zone and Saga Music, Virtual Void.
Elwood - Neutral zone
DJ Daemon reminds you about the radio station, ericade.radio.
Just a short reminder that we have a radio station as well. If you go to ericade.radio on your web browser you can listen to 24-7 the best track music ever.
Saga Musix - Virtual Void

ElectroVoice RE20
UAD, \"Precision Limiter\"

He got his Commodore 64 in 1989 and his first Amiga in 1990. A huge fan of tracker music and have had a long standing dream to create a radio show playing that kind of music. In 2020, that dream came true and in december Amiga Flashback started as a podcast. It was later renamed Flashback, tracks from the past and here we are.
He is also an orga for Swedish demo party Edison and a total retro nerd.
