Podcast episode profile for 93. Shadow party 2022

Shadow party 2022 ended last Sunday and brings a rather meager list of tunes. But we get three great streamed ones and two tracked that, alas, are not up to standard for this station. But DJ Daemon gives you the streamed compo and then switches to a modarchive curated playlist with soft melodious tune and some heavy rocking ones.

ericade.radio knows the chiptune and demoscene! We're the radio station playing all the best tunes from the most prominent, promising or trending artists in the scene. We also know about the artists and songs as well.

ericade.radio – Time for Flashback, tracks from the past – today with another demo party top list

DJ Daemon Time for flashback. Tracks from the past. Today with another demo party top list. One week ago Shadowparty was streaming demos, streamed music and tracked music. It ended on the 12th of June. A rather new demo party from France. And here is me, DJ Daemon picking up the pieces, gluing them together and sending them to your radio.

DJ Daemon: One week ago, Shadow party was streaming demos, streamed music and tracked music. It ended on the 12th of June. A rather new demo party from France and here is me, DJ Daemon picking up the pieces, glueing them together and sending them to your radio. 22s

Mel o’dee – Intro tune

DJ Daemon presents the streaming music compo and 3rd place. 26s

DJ Daemon Something out of the old, that was a melody and intro tune. It's from an old demo party from the early 90s. But it's 2022 right here, right now, and we are going on with Shadow Party, the streaming compo entries. Third place, at 74 points, it's Adekuro and Malefic Invasion.

Atekuro – Malefic invasion

DJ Daemon talks about the second place.. 21s

DJ Daemon Dreamy chords and third place. Yep, we are going on with the second place. It's Staler of Cape Rods. Give me a sunny newborn. And this is more tempo, more pressure and great tune.

Stailer of KProds – Give me a sunny new born

DJ Daemon gives you the winner of the streaming contest. 27s

DJ Daemon Already time for the winner! And it is Exegon of Saturn with Anthem of Noise. It sounds a bit like this sweet tune Barry Bore that we have on the station. I really like this uptempo feeling of it if you ask me. So we had from soft and sweet to really tempo inducing nightmare of a tune!

Exagon of Saturne – Anthem of noise

DJ Daemon explains why he is not playing the two tracked music entries. 58s

DJ Daemon I got good news and bad news. The good news? You just heard them. Three great tunes. And the bad? Well, that's all I got for you today. You see, the Tracked Music Competition, it featured two entries and none of them were good enough to play on this station. That is not awesome. That is not awesome. But if you think I am kidding with you, here you go.Okay, that's from an old infomercial of sorts from the 50s and the rest is do do do do do do and nobody want to hear that. The other one is so repetitive it's painful to listen to. I'm sorry I don't want to throw any shadow at Shadow Party because it's a great party. I don't want to say anything about that, but the songs were not to my liking. We are going on with Ivory and The Quest.

Ivory – The Quest

DJ Daemon presents today’s first and only medley. 35s

DJ Daemon Old school and new school. And we're talking about demos, intros and graphics. Shadow Party had it all. And if you wanna watch it and listen to it, go to YouTube and you can see it all. But we have to go on here. Time for today's first and only medley. It's Chimera, Face the Truth, an old Amiga 4 channel tune called Thou Shall Fight, and it's Okeanos. And finally, Defender01.Village Festival.

Chimera – Face the truth

Okeanos – Thou shall fight!

Defender01 – Village Festival

DJ Daemon reads comments from modarchive about the next tune.. 41s

DJ Daemon Solid niceness and we are going on with Merillion of the Silence, Ali Funker. And comments? We got 2013, Soda7 rated it 9 out of 10 and he writes... a track with more funk genre than rock, but it's a well done track. The samples are pretty clear and the music sounds amazing. Great use of 4 channels.Maudy Crave rated it 10 out of 10 and that's all she wrote. Or he. Or someone.

Marillion of the Silents – Alley funker

DJ Daemon continues playing another rock track. 43s

DJ Daemon Good news everyone, we're stuck in a rock pattern for even the next song is rocking it. It's the Hornet and Adventures Resolution. And Saga Music wrote in 2012, rating it 9 out of 10. Very nice rock track, suffers from the usual samples, but they're used rather well. Good composition. And Arne Puschelskiin 2010 rated it 9 out of 10. Mod in 2009 9 out of 10 and someone unknown in 1999 9 out of 10. So you know this is good.

The Hornet – Adventure’s resolution

DJ Daemon compares the next tune with Skaven’s legendary Goblin-songs. 36s

DJ Daemon Artists gave and composed two songs back in the day, Catch That Goblin and the second one was The Goblin Returns. Next up is Sneaky Little Elves. It's from Slash. It was composed in 2001, October even. Finishing touches on my birthday, he writes. Different in style, but still very much me in spirit. And I think you have been a little bit inspired by a certain goblin.I at least hope so.

Slash – Sneaky little elves

DJ Daemon disagrees with the 6 out of 10 rating. 37s

DJ Daemon Big smile on my face for that song. Really, really good. But an unknown account on ModArchive begs to differ on the next song. He rated it 6 out of 10 and... Okay, I'm sorry for the artist if he reads this review, but I must say the truth. The song is nice, but not more than that. I would listen to it one time and think then to delete it from my hard drive. Well, okay. That's your opinion, my opinion is, it's great.

SanDmaN – Join the Battle

DJ Daemon fact-checks the next song and issues an “alternative facts”-warning. 34s

DJ Daemon Next up is Spring and Midway is a bridge in England and my fact checking background. It forces me to actually concede that no, there is no such bridge. I google for it, but there is a Midway bridge in Johnstown, North Dakota, but that's the United States. I'm sorry this has to be told because otherwise we might be spreading misinformation and great tracked music.

Spring – Midway is a bridge in England

DJ Daemon talks about #Gubbdata and #Arok 41

DJ Daemon What's up on the demo scene? Two demo parties coming up next. It's Gubdata 2022 and AROC Party 2022. One is from Sweden and the latter is from Hungary. It's on the 1st to 3rd of July so you have to choose and we will see what we can do to cover one or both. This is Ericade.radio. I'm DJ DaemonAnd remember you get another of those nice podcasts in a week. We are going on with Skorpik of Absolut and Fylde!

Scorpik of Absolute – Field day

DJ Daemon leads you into that good night with the next tunes. 44s

DJ Daemon What an hour it's been! We started up with a top list from the demo party, shadow party and then it was rock! It was symphonic music and a lot of niceness. Sweet songs, fast songs, heavy songs. But all good things must come to an end. And so must this show for now. Next week another episode of Flashback Tracks from the past. And I'm DJ Daemon, leading you into that great night. It's Svängs!and adventurer in Marengon and awesome with prophecy and finally Ross Raan.

Sphenx – Adventurer in Merregnon
