We have covered the demo scene since 2020, and play all the great chip tune music as well. Join us to hear tracked music combined with commentary from the geek-of-all-trades: DJ Daemon. He was once known as Daemon in the Amigaworld, and brings you stories about Amiga, retrocomputing, C64, demos, the demo scene and all things nerdy in the retro world.

Colophon:It's take on the \"an electrical evening with mr Demon\", an episode celebrating the artist \"Mr Electric Demon\".This one almost ended in disaster. I added a tune with some mild stupid speeches from a guy called Ove. The tune was made to poke fun at an old man, obviously out of his mind. But before airing it, I listened more carefully and to my shock heard it had some really bad racist stuff in it. I removed it and recorded some of my speeeches.

DC of the CNCD, Summar Lainen Kaupunkke. Yes, it is definitely Finnish. So why is it so hard to find music for this podcast? Actually it isn't, but today was a different day. You see, funny songs, silly songs and stuff, they are generally very bad.The reason is they were made by someone who just found a sampler and said, hey, let's have some fun. And then they sample a lot of stuff and make a collage of sound that sounds awful, badly recorded. And yes, it's like movie samples and samples from tunes and samples from commercial broadcasts and whatever. No fun. But this is fun. Yeah, we get something for you. A medley. You know, a lot of those things were made in the noughties, the nineties, and some odd ones in the eighties. So they cover the same ground as the cartoons that you watched. Let's go to Modarchive, because I love the comments. Next up is SYN Music and Free Founders. And Basil Warr he wrote in 2002, rating it 7 out of 10. Very nice for a one sample 20 kilobyte song. Composer used 14 patterns and all of them are different. This music creates a unique atmosphere. It's like in music.in old Sierra Adventure games. This tune is for background I guess. But anyway, it's never late to admire a good one sample song. I guess I cannot say much here. Composer used only 8-bit simple sample and created 14 different patterns. No panning is used though. But I guess this is acceptable for a chip tuneWorth listening if you like fantasy.

It's still Sunday as I'm broadcasting and tomorrow it will be all about work. And I work in the IT security sector. So it's about pen tests, threat hunts, security analysis and hardening systems. Well, the hacker is alive and kicking and I have to make sure the world is more secure. So next song, it's Lamentary and Very Serious Problems. It's a song that I love.And you can probably guess exactly why.

the best tracked music artist? I don't know. I can name a number of them, but one that's very high on my list, would be Joggeir Liljedal, Norwegian artist Joggeir Liljedal. But he is not behind the being. A bit of a laughing stock. A guy calling himself Volvo Liljedal of Chezo has created the next song called Banan e Gott.which means banana tastes great in Swedish. And yeah, it's a song by Joggeir called Banana Boat which gets this treatment.

I have many great memories from Monkey Island, you know, the classic LucasArts game from the early 90s. And next song is not from the game, but it could have been. Oh yeah, fun! If you thought something was wrong with Slammy and the joys of burnt CDs, you're not old enough. But I am, so let me clue you in.Back in the day when CDs were all the rage, everybody knew what happened if they were bit scratched up. They would skip and the laser would not find the track. And that's what the song is all about. It tries to sound like that. And that's more fun in retrospect than it was back then. Going on with Electro Pizza and Artificial Sun. Hey, actually we have some more time for you. the last song out, I changed my mind. It's gonna be Skaven and Catch That Goblin. That's a classic one. I remember it running on my Amiga. He later made a follow-up, which is equally hilarious. But this is great for an old 16-bit computer that actually had a great sound. Although yeah, it was 8-bit.

He got his Commodore 64 in 1989 and his first Amiga in 1990. A huge fan of tracker music and have had a long standing dream to create a radio show playing that kind of music. In 2020, that dream came true and in december Amiga Flashback started as a podcast. It was later renamed Flashback, tracks from the past and here we are.
He is also an orga for Swedish demo party Edison and a total retro nerd.
