Time for another episode of Flashback. Tracks from the past. It's been quite a hectic weekend. So today it's the new, brand new music for this station and we're gonna talk about what's up in Amiga and Demoland. This is DJ Demon and here's the music.
AsicWP and Anton, please insert credit. But it used to say please insert coin if you remember those old games. Yes, even those that were running on a machine that had no coin slot. Today it's all about Amiga OS, the 3.2.1. We're gonna talk about DHALT 2022 that just ended and of course Commodore Träffen.Swedish Commodore Club meeting that has been postponed and we will not forget about February and January when it comes to the demo scene.
Gris Jarvis of Analog, Blue Flame. Well, good news I guess. A few weeks ago Amiga OS 3.2 came out. I know, I know, it's an old thing, but now there is a new version, it's called 3.2.1. A lot of bug fixes and lot of nice performance fixes and stuff. One problem is that many people have lost their serial keys.Because I know when you get this box with a CD-ROM in it, actually the shrink wrap contains the code and that's what you tear off and kind of throw away. I know I did. But actually Hyperion Entertainment is telling us that if you send an email, support at hyperion-entertainment.com and enclose a invoice that you...shows that you paid for it, they will issue a new serial number for you. Right? Good!
And that was Galgox. Tiny beats, really nice beats. Well, I just had a little email coming in here telling me that yeah, here's your new serial code. So obviously Hyperion delivers. Nice, thanks. News in from Bitten, our resident news source of everything cool in the retro world. She points out that the D-Halt 2022 has just ended. And that's something we hope to be covering next weekend or maybe in the future. Yeah, that demo party they wrote Russia bear on the streets, balalaika, vodka and demo party. Dehalt 6th, 7th and 8th of January. Winter snow, country house, traditional competitions. The standard platform PC Amiga C64 CX Spectrum.diplomas to the winners, remote participation for all, online voting for all and beer for all.
Versus Saga Musics. Makes some sense. I got something for you. Really cool. We're gonna listen to that first and then we go back to the demo scene news. It's FBY and The Lost Ninja Palace Garden Concerto. It's game music reimagined from, well, The Lost Ninja, the series of games that grazed the C64.back in early 90s. I play this for the resident people on the discord. Well, mostly actually Coreus.
quite popular or maybe sample that way. Commodore-träffen 2022. was meant to run in a few weeks from now, but it has been postponed until August and the place it will still be in Teabu here in northern Stockholm. It will be the last weekend of August. And reason of course it's the next round ofyes, corona corona sweet as can be. The Omicron. And it's a wise move actually not to meet in person right now.
The tune is called Lowpass. Pretty good name for it if you ask me. And it's by Beyond. So a little bit of the demo scene news for February this year. Just a few weeks away. On the 11th to 13th of February 2022 we have Lovebite. That's a cool name. It's online only. Pretty obvious why. Then we have Mountain Bites. That is a bit of more bad set of news. You see, it's been cancelled. And Sweden, yes, Sweden has a demo party as well. It's called Fjälldata 2022. It's on the 18th of February. They hail from Östersund. No idea if it's online only.Assembly Winter 2022 from Helsinki in Finland. It's on the 24th of February. And last, for February, it's BCC Party number 16. Runs on the 25th of February in Berlin. And if you want news about those things, try www.demoparty.net.
Nick Leder talking about drugs. Now let's talk about March in the demo scene. A bit of a boring month. It's only one demo party. It's Hashembley Winter 2022 on the 18th to 20th of March 2022. Yep, if you want to know more about the demo parties, try www.demoparty.net as I said. And also remember details change and not all parties are open for everyone. Please check the details before committing to anything.
Jeffrey Lim, drifting onwards. And lastly, it's April 2022. And it's GURP 2022 as well. It runs on the first to third of April. And it's an Amiga thing, yes. It's Swedish as well. And is held in Skövde Kulturhus in Skövde. Be advised that COVID-19 is resurging, as I said. That will mean that it's possible that many of those things will have to be online, but I don't have any information about that at this time. Just check the details before actually booking any tickets.
KO0X study issues I don't have much more news for you right now but I can tell you this that if you're waiting for the request feature on erikade.
JK and Laughing Matter. If you want something on the Erikade Radio Network, that is something like a new tune, an artist portray or maybe some features on the webpage, please send me an email radio at erikade dot net or go to discord dot io slash t r n.
MPJV Lucid Nightmare and I got a question from Correus but he's not the only one ever asking about that. Can we expand our repertoire? That is to say some SID tunes or something like that and the answer at this time is no but I'm actually looking into can we expand? It is possible. It depends on the station needs to have a consistent sound. On the other hand, SID tunes are sweet. I really want to put that on the station. Well, okay, I'm going to say it again. Short answer is no. And over time, maybe I will make it happen.
and me, Lush's superstar. No, no, I'm not talking about myself here, I promise you. Well, we have about 10 minutes until we have to leave the air and I want to thank you for listening. This is Flashback Tracks from the past and we've just only begun in 2022. If you want some artist interviews and stuff, well, direct any aspiring module, tracker, musician, to me, and we'll make it happen.
It's MPJV again, but this time he is accompanied by Argorach. The tune is called Ultimate Jazz Shiloh. Yeah, it's a very good one, if you ask me. We shall be leaving the airwaves in a few moments. This is me, DJ Demon, thanking you and leading you into the good night. That would be Narco with Unhappy and Nihilism. Come to light.
The EroKade Radio Network with Swedish host and retro geek quite ordinary Damon behind the mic.
