Welcome to another episode of Flashback, Tracks from the Past, the show that takes you back to the golden age of the tracked music scene. Alright, today it's another station update and the newest music just in from the Amiga Modular Archive, the best of the best. At any rate, we had some technical malfunctions this week, so I'm broadcasting this from a provisionallocation and yeah you can hear the smattering rain on the window.
giving you the podcast throughout the summer and all the new music.
It's not every day you hear jazz on this station and podcast, but when you do, you know it's something special. And that was Carlos Autumn in Budapest. So, OK, what's up? Well, I kind of got a really good feeling for covering all those demo parties and the track to music competitions. And I will continue doing so. Last episode, we spoke about good data and Edison coming up.this summer and yeah we will try to cover it and make sure you get that great music in a list format. Yeah we start with the least popular and end up with the winner.
Format back again, and so are we. Okay, we have some jingles that are coming up. I haven't had the time to re-format the station, so to speak. We are, as you know, not only Amiga right now, but there are some nice messages from Nicole Carino, our station voice, coming up, and you will be hearing them, well, during this week, and the next one, so to speak. And Derrickade Radio Network keeps broadcasting throughout the summer. I don't know how much time I will have to actually be hosting it, but hey, there's a lot of great music.
Okay, that is quite a long tone to go out on. Decibelter Night Dreams. So, what's coming up? I'm waiting for Workbench 3.2 or Amiga OS 3.2. I hope I can do some kind of episode about that, what it means, its history and all of that. So, wait for that in an upcoming episode of Flashback Tracks from the Past.
format and eternity. Next week I intend to make another of those technical discussions on YouTube where I will talk about master compression that is how we make the sound on this station sound as tight and compact and still powerful as it does so if you're into the technology side of things that's where you will be headingI also intend to talk a little bit in a later podcast about a graphics card that I bought. I haven't received it yet, but it's from an Amiga 3000 and it seems to be really something special. well, stay a while for that on the station. In a few weeks, I hope.
Traeor and Gothyr, 2 minutes to midnight, heavier than we generally play on this station. Now I have a question for you, what do you want to hear on flashback tracks from the past? What subjects would be nice to talk about? We have a little list so to speak, with stuff that would be magnificent to discuss. But hey, we need more suggestions, so go to our Discord channel, discord.io slash t-e-r-n andSound off. It's night forever So I gotta tell you something about the summer plans for this podcast. Yeah, I told you it's going to broadcast throughout the summer,
Jaijung, castle courtyard, 9 minutes and 37 seconds of niceness. And I know, I complain a lot about the Swedish summer, because you know, no sun and only rain and all that things, but actually it is the truth. Today was sunny, I was so happy, I went out to a hilltop here, listening to the radio and drinking coffee. The good stuff. Okay.could have ended happy as well if it weren't for, well, the rain came in in a few minutes. I was sitting one moment in the sunshine and the next moment I was running to cover because the skies really opened up.
Exodus and the saturation part one Have you heard about the new vampire card? Yeah, they're releasing one for the Amiga 1200 This is a stripped down version with only the acceleration parts left in and it has FPGA acceleration as you expected to and the 6880 Virtual CPU if you want to it's awesome, but it doesn't have the RTG and the other stuffstuff that you expect from it. it may actually be the cheapest way you can accelerate a computer on an Amiga 1200 simply. So take a look at it. It's far better I would say as a deal than trying to find some Blizzard Phase 5 whatever on eBay.
Ellwood, fine day. We are about to close shop here. The Arikade Radio Network keeps broadcasting 24-7 and this podcast will be over soon. The next episode is next Saturday and then on your favorite podcast player. We're going on with Joggeir Liljedal untouched and if you look in the instrument list you will find it's actually dedicated to what I believe is an old girlfriend of his.
sometimes called the illness by people here. It's a predominantly male hobby. Are there any good female-tracked music artists? Yes, yes, a lot of them. Here is one. That would be Luvia of TPOLM and a little Swedish boy. And then we're entering the night, so to speak, with Yugi of Complex and onwards. Thank you for listening.
