You are listening to the Ericade Radio Network. Good evening and welcome to another hour of Amiga Retro music. And Amiga Flashback. It's Saturday and we are doing some miscellaneous stuff, but I want a cool name for it. So I'm going to call it Plan 9 from outer space.
Hey! Okay, so what are we doing today? And why is it called Plan 9 from Outer Space? You probably know Ed Wood's very horrible science fiction movie with that name. But no, that's not the plan. That's not the whole thing. That's not why we have nine in it. It's not the Beatles connection either. The idea is the following. We have taken songs that are rated nine out of ten. And that's the only thing we play today. So, enjoy! It's too good to be. True, I guess?
It's a nice time to pour yourself some tea, some coffee, some whiskey or whatever you fancy. And just relax back and listen to the music, because I don't have much to tell today when it comes to stories. But I have a lot of good memories in music form, so let's continue in that way.
Squatica! Another of those 9 out of 10 tunes that we are so fond of today. DJ Demon here and today the whole station blew up again for no apparent reason the servers stopped working. But it was easy to fix, just give it the old boot and it's coming back online. It's probably doing this to give me more grey hair.
all for the rain and I am all for the rain especially when the rain is outside and I'm dry on the inside. The opposite is kinda troublesome and expensive so let's skip that. Also remember this podcast can be found where you find podcasts just search for the Ericade Radio Network.
Astro-Efflex. And we are going on with a blue-eyes girl. Not blue-eyed, it's eyes. I'm pretty sure that's because most women have two eyes. That's an observation.
I have an idea for an upcoming episode of Amiga Flashback. It will be called Retro Politics. And no, no, no, no, I will not talk politics that way. It's not like a left-wing or right-wing argument or anything. Just how I, as a kid and a young, well, teenager, remembered the politics of the 80s and 90s before I was kinda aware of what things were. You know, the Soviet Union, the fall of said Soviet Union.Well, Demauer, Ronald Reagan in office, and a lot of those things like Chernobyl and yeah, just telling the stories a little bit blue-eyed and naive maybe, but still it is part of what we do remember.
out for the halftime break. There will be no break, just more music. That was Blue Funk Statement and we're going on with Bloodfest.
rainy and thunderous and a sideshow of crickets I believe. That is weather we will not be experiencing for quite some time as we are in the middle of the winter. It's a snowy white wonderland and if you're gonna be sad in Swedish we have a song called Gamle svarton. It's about an old man who rides his horse somewhere and he promised the horse soon you will rest.If you listen to the original song that is called Old Faithful, you know exactly where the horse is going as he's sending the poor thing to the slaughterhouse. But it is a nice little song, isn't it?
approaching Antares and I don't know we are probably far away from there it feels like we are in this part of the year where we are far away from pretty much everything it's cold it's dark sometimes you get snow sometimes you do not and you just wonder where did all the money go because gifts are expensive and that booze is not gonna pay for itself but there we arelonging for the sun that will one day grace our part of the world we can hope.
The song is called Twenty Ten Survival. That's a good name for a song, it's ten years ago and we just passed the Twenty Twenty Survival challenge. And here we are. Actually, when March came and I was thinking about this corona that just had happened, I wondered, am I gonna see Twenty Twenty One? Well, surprise, surprise, I guess I did.
All around our universe We try so hard to feel What's Tonight,
A box in space?
when they find out the names of those songs but I wonder what it tastes like.
flashback this is DJ Demon and one hour of music and me desperately trying to find out what to say it doesn't work that well I'm afraidErik Zalitis
absolutely love this kind of music, it's cute, it feels good, it looks dreamy in a way. It's called Alone. Alone in the Dark? Nah, it's a computer game. Also, I take it back, actually the whole thing of finding out what to say is kinda easy, just don't talk too much and it will be fine no matter what.

About the artist Amiga Flashback View all tracks ›
Started in december 2020, Amiga Flashback was the first name of "Flashback, tracks from the past". It features nice midnight DJ banter from DJ Daemon, interviews, discussions about retro-stuff and lots of tracked music. Most of it is Amiga tracked tunes. In May 2021, it was renamed and started allowing all kinds of tracked tunes instead of mostly Amiga ones.
