You are listening to the Ericade Radio Network. Good evening and welcome to another hour of Amiga Retro music. It's nine o'clock and time for a brand new program called Amiga Flashback. Yeah, we will be looking back to the 90s and maybe some part of the 80s here on the Ericade Radio Network. For the next hour, I will play you my favorite music.

Erik Zalitis 05:52.268

yeah, that was Silence of Whisper and I have something special for you right now. It's a song that I can no longer play because it has a lot of commercial entries inside it. It starts out with a Swedish national anthem and then you have like Jag Möter Lassie, a really silly Schlager song from the 80s, plus a rock set, plus a number of Swedish things. This is as Swedish as IKEA.

Erik Zalitis 15:14.626

Yes, say goodbye to that mix song because it's going away as I said. Well, next track is something really cool, something I really like. It's made by a guy called himself Notepleach. And it's a song that a lot of people really liked that are not into Amiga tunes. And we actually played it on a radio station in Southern Stockholm in the 90s. I actually called Notepleach himself. He lived in Stockholm back then and he said, yeah, it's okay. You can play it on the air. So it ran for weeks and months and it was very popular.

Erik Zalitis 20:40.494

The return of music and it was not bleach as I stated previously The next song is actually Björn Linde the genius the Norwegian genius who has made most of the music from worms the game and What I'm gonna hear now is from 2003. So it's definitely not Omega music,

but it's that good that we have to play itErik Zalitis 22:08.462

This is the continuing saga of courage, honor and worms. Many generations have passed since we were last witness to such a raging war. Long forgotten by creatures who dwell on the world's surface, the ongoing struggle of the worms had caused much bloodshed as counts and clans battled on for dominance of the world.Over the years, Boggy B had seen many a bloody battle, yet still he fights on. For glory, for honor, and for his fallen friends, he must settle a score, so that future generations may live without fear of air strikes and grenades, or face the hardship every day that the war has brought upon his world.

Erik Zalitis 23:29.272

If anything, life as a worm had become even more dangerous. Experiments had brought new and more powerful weapons to the battle. Stories of exploding bananas were used to scare the young ones from mischief. Sometimes even hardened war veterans could not hide their simmering fear. We join Clagnut, son of Spadge, as he sets out on a scouting mission behind enemy lines. The memory of his father clear in his mind, Clagnut carefully peeked over a leaf. It was then to his horror.his uncle Boggy be trapped in a cave. The enemy's evil smile as he reached for the soft fruit of doom.

Erik Zalitis 24:24.75

This was the moment he had trained for since he was only half an inch long. Using the rope he had packed, Clagnart lowered himself down the hill. Prying for action, silent and deadly as only the slimiest of worms can be, he crouched down and quietly squirmed up behind his foe, prepared to make it count. And such close range, a grenade or a banana would surely make things worse. So he drew his baseball bat and struck his foe across the neck with a mighty swing. The enemy flew high and into the abyss, where Boggy then reigned three. And once again the cry was heard far across the land, we've won the war!

Erik Zalitis 26:18.634

Yeah, those good memories I have from when I and my brothers were killing each other not for real not for real We're still alive, but in this game worms Yeah, there was so many ways you could totally destroy the other guys worms Yes with bazookas and axes and some weird sheep and god knows what great games Anyway, we have a little bit of a mystery the song that nobody knows who did itAnd then a thing about it, it's totally, there's nothing about it on the whole internet. Here it comes.

Thanks forErik Zalitis 32:07.886

The Gunondrum, the song that nobody knows who made or what it was about. And no, it's not the Terran theme from Starcraft, even if it sounds a bit the same. So if you know something, tell me something I really wanna know. Next song is a new one, I have never heard it before, but it went into this rotation just a few days ago. My Wolf.

Erik Zalitis 38:08.598

Yeah right, I can understand cats, dogs are fine, I guess ant eater is also ok, but a wolf.Who would want a wolf as a pet? Seriously, not a good idea, ok? My wolf too was the name of it. Alright, well, next thing is going to be an oldie but a goldie. Something that everybody really have heard if they heard Amiga stuff, but is good enough to play it again. On full overload that is.

Erik Zalitis 43:04.67

Overload is the name of that song and I must be very careful when I google for stuff because I searched for Overload and module and I got an information about it was part of a porn demo. That did not sound right. Actually, that's another module with the same name. This one is called, as I said, Overload. It's released in 1991 on something called The Party in 91 and it's Mantronix and Tip.both Swedish artists that made it happen.

Erik Zalitis 44:18.894

Winner of the very doubtful award of being the most useless song ever. I decided that. I want a version with Homer Simpson's like DOH or something like that. It would be much better. Okay, next song is trying to sound a bit like a Commodore 64 and does it well.

Erik Zalitis 46:58.446

Maybe he's trying to say something about us that like the song. Can't really say. I don't want to think too much about it. Well, we also have something nice coming up here. West Coast Jazz with a little bit of a special history.

Erik Zalitis 48:30.958

Do you think the song has ended yet? There we go. Alright, it was by Mines or something like that. Axel was his name, yes, he's still alive, and he was one of the most active users I had on my BBS, so great, great to hear that song again. I don't know if it's available anywhere else. Probably somewhere. Some of his songs were written just for my BBS, so they are kind of hard to get. Next is Take It Personal. And do you know who wrote this?

Erik Zalitis 52:17.964

So why did I ask you if you knew who wrote the song? Well, because I hoped that you would recognize that it's the same style as all things that Notepleach have made. it's the same artist as with the song, The Return of Music. All right, the next song is called Buttman. That may be not be the best title, but it's a great song.

Erik Zalitis 55:34.958

Good things must come to an end. this is the first edition of the Amiga Flashback program. So we'll hear you tomorrow at 9 p.m. I guess. This is Demon signing off. And the last song is gonna be Björn Linn again, because I am so deeply in love with that Worms game. And this is what happens when you have played it too long and you're going into sudden death mode.

Started in december 2020, Amiga Flashback was the first name of "Flashback, tracks from the past". It features nice midnight DJ banter from DJ Daemon, interviews, discussions about retro-stuff and lots of tracked music. Most of it is Amiga tracked tunes. In May 2021, it was renamed and started allowing all kinds of tracked tunes instead of mostly Amiga ones.
