You are listening to the Ericade Radio Network. Time for another episode of Amiga Flashback, the show that takes you back to the 80s and 90s. In October 2020, we made a special inaugural show celebrating the newest artist to enter the station, Björn Lynne or Dr. Awesome. But technical malfunctions struck and the show was never properly saved.I have now recovered it and fixed the problems. So for the first time ever in a podcast and today, let us prove to you that first impressions last. You are listening to the Ericade Radio Network. Here's another... I am very sorry Nicole. Well, I don't know how to say this but... Well, the corporation has decided to move in other directions so we will have to let you go. Alright, for an hour. Just for an hour. Because this hour we are going to play for you Björn Lynnes old Amiga hits. Yeah? Come on.this is something really good. Let's start off with the first track.
in the house Björne Lindne also known as Dr. Awesome a Norwegian sound engineer and music composer born in the 1966 according to the Wikipedia and they should know stuff like that well he has also been a tracker music composer as I said under the name Dr. Awesome well known and respected in the demo sceneMore of his music, this hour, and now!
The Ericade Radio Network with Amiga Memories and tunes Hey, hey, hey, Nicole, I told you you can come back in an hour or so but right now we're playing Bjorn Lundes stuff.
If you call yourself Dr. Awesome, you're probably not that shy are you now? But then again, Dr. Awesome, or Björn Lundes I told you his name is, isn't really anything but super talented. So I guess he has earned his nickname.
Big shout out have to go to Safir, the forum for Amiga nerds here in Sweden. Well, I'm actually going to see if I can get an interview with Björn at a later date, but for now I'm just trying to see how it would sound if you just gave him an whole hour all to himself.
Time for another story about the retro past from your host, Daemon.
I checked the whole playlist we have and I can tell you some of his tunes have already been played here. For an example, Moongazer is something that has been grazing the top list here on the Erricade Radio Network for quite a while.
This is the continuing saga of courage, honor and worms. Many generations had passed since we were last witnessed to such a raging war. Long forgotten by creatures who dwell on the world's surface, the ongoing struggle of the worms had caused much bloodshed as counts and clans battled on for dominance of the world.Over the years, Boggy B had seen many a bloody battle, yet still he fights on. For glory, for honor, and for his fallen friends, he must settle a score, so that future generations may live without fear of air strikes and grenades, or face the hardship every day that the war has brought upon his world.
Anything life as a worm had become even more dangerous. Experiments had brought new and more powerful weapons to the battle. Stories of exploding bananas were used to scare the young ones from mischief. Sometimes even hardened war veterans could not hide their simmering fear. We join Clagnut, son of Spadge, as he sets out on a scouting mission behind enemy lines. The memory of his father clear in his mind, Clagnut carefully peeked over a leaf. It was then toor his uncle Boggy B trapped in a cave, and the enemy's evil smile as he reached for the soft fruit of doom.
was the moment he had trained for since he was only half an inch long. Using the rope he had packed, Clacknought lowered himself down the hill. Prying for action, silent and deadly as only the slimiest of worms can be, he crouched down and quietly squirmed up behind his foe, who prepared to make it count. At such close range, a grenade or a banana would surely make things worse. So he drew his face toward that and struck his foe across the neck with a mighty swing. The enemy flew high and into the abyss, where Boggy then reigned three.Cows upon his head, and once again the cry was heard far across the land, We've won the war!
Yep, this is something you have never heard before. I actually replaced some things that went wrong with original broadcast and put this in instead. This is actually an anniversary song for Worms with some Scottish accent and all that kind of stuff. Really fun. Of course it's Björn Linde because pretty much everything that has with Worms to do when it comes to music is Björn Linde. Well, you're welcome.
This is the Arikade Radio Networks special program about our own unsung hero. Or maybe that's not the way I should put it. He has been very respected in the scene. I checked out and I know. Name is Dr. Awesome. And he is just that.
And we are wrapping up a few minutes more and then we're going back to our regularly scheduled... Well, program I guess.

Started in december 2020, Amiga Flashback was the first name of "Flashback, tracks from the past". It features nice midnight DJ banter from DJ Daemon, interviews, discussions about retro-stuff and lots of tracked music. Most of it is Amiga tracked tunes. In May 2021, it was renamed and started allowing all kinds of tracked tunes instead of mostly Amiga ones.
