Time for flashback. Tracks from the past. With your host, DJ Daemon. Valentine's Day, people. And it's one hour of the greatest songs with love in the title. That's the whole idea. And they are awesome. Some are old, some are new. I also want to warn you that this episode is explicit. So if you don't like explicit subjects, you might want to, you know, find another podcast episode. But now we're starting with Malmen and Love at first sight.
Alright, I know exactly what you're thinking. What about explicit? Are you gonna swear? No. Sexual explicit stuff? Absolutely not. What you gonna do then? Well, one of the songs has a very clear drug reference. And I think it's hilarious. But maybe you don't, so I have warned you. This is not now. It comes later. We are going on with Ginseng and Lovesick.
It's time to quote the great professor Farnsworth, you know the guy who invented television, so I will. Good news everyone! Edison is happening in 2026 on a ship called MS Borgilla here in Stockholm and Sweden. So go to edisondemoparty.com and just check it out yourself. We are going on with Church of Selene and Love Theme Part 2.
What about the storytelling then, you might ask? Is that coming back? And answer is yes it will. We will be covering more games from the C64, the Amiga and the Retro PC during the whole spring of 2026. So that's coming your way, but I'm not telling you what games that are upcoming. Some are gonna be pretty intellectual, some are gonna be really cool stuff that you don't remember and some is gonna be, you know, brain dead action just because it's fun.So that's what you're getting, and here's what you're getting as well. An unknown artist with love forever.
Is there anyone out there caring about Valentine's Day? I don't. I haven't celebrated it or what you can say for many years now. My whole company here at my home in Stockholm is a famous grouse and some Maria Stad beer. Because that's great. Don't do it too much. But you know, you can celebrate sometimes, can't you? Going on with Tio and love opens your eyes.
Here is a question coming up every bloody year and the question is, is the demo scene dead? And all I can say is it comes up year after year and today at this time it's the AI coming to get the demo scene. And yeah, it's possible it could, but we cannot go on through that, well, know, dismal thinking of the end is nigh because I don't think it is, but I'm gonna say this. The demo scene is not dead, it just smells that way sometimes. Going on with Falcon and Kane and Love, Loud Beam.
Medley time people! We are giving you a number of songs that are too short to play on their own, but mixed together sounds awesome! Starting with Mowl and Wet of Love, don't try to think too much about that. Then we're going on with Smirk and Lovely Nightmares. And it's Vyrexor again, yes absolutely, not today, this is the first time his works are being played here. This...episode but it's called love theme and finally it's Suzuma Takayama and love colored magic.
Flashback,
I'm gonna complain about AI. Well, you know, I only do this on days that end on Y. And thankfully, this is one of those days. So what's up with AI? Well, I restarted my server after installing the latest patch from Microsoft. And it's Windows 11, and the Windows audio subsystem went down. The station would not work at all, and I had to switch from MME that doesn't work anymore to direct sound atFor some reason does. This is the third time Microsoft have been able to you know, screw up the whole installation of Windows. They did it in July last year and in January of 2026 and now they've done it again. Great show there. You know what Microsoft say? Stop calling it AI Slop. Well, if it's working the way you're doing it, it is AI Slop. Sorry, Mrs. Sateya. But here's another thing you need to know.Microsoft such as they are are applying AI code like 30 % of the new patches contain AI generated code and now you know how well that works. Sorry to say I'm not holding my breath for anything to get better but holding my breath I may be doing for audio monster of TSL, Lover Breath.
Time has come for that very song that the whole episode has been, you know, explicitly flagged for. The song is Magnus and it's called I Love Drugs. Now, I do want to be honest, I don't think you should do drugs really. But it's a fun song and don't take it too seriously. This is the devil scene being, you know, the devil scene.
This is crazy, I'm sorry I played that. Don't take it seriously as I said. I absolutely love how some texts are a bit controversial and why not? We don't generally play stuff like that. So sometimes you have to kinda let your hair down a little bit. That's all what's going on around here. We are going on with Justy and well, the song is called Love.Boring theme now, isn't it? Yeah, whatever.
And this concludes the yearly... well, we haven't really done this since 2021, but still the yearly Valentine's broadcast. I'm DJ Daemon, this is Flashback Tracks from the past. And we are leading you into that good night with two platitudes. The first one is X-Con and Love Hurts Free, because of course it does. And then it's Lavish and Love Connection. Thanks for listening.Back in a week with some cool games!
We will be back in a week from now, and while you're waiting, go to Ericade.Radio to listen to the station. Next week is gonna be a retro game of some sorts, but until then, keep listening and keep rocking the demo scene.
