📝 Transcript
Time for flashback! Tracks from the past! With your host, DJ Daemon! And it's that time again, this time of the year, it's Christmas! So here is me giving you the best and nicest old track tunes that are all Christmas tunes. We're starting up with a maniac of Crux and Cruxmas!
Two medleys today and it's time for the first one. That would be a medley with five songs in a row. Really nice. We're starting up with Mildewy and Shiptune Bells, then it's Gerontel and Christmas Groo, and it's Jushan with Merry Merry Christmas, and it's Waymaker of TNI with Adeste Fidelis, and finally it's Jula and Aimo.
Like a slug in the sky, higher drives You may wonder why,
Flashback,
As I'm recording this, tomorrow will be a special day. It's gonna be me, Koryus and the Baron of Dubstep meeting up over the internet and recording our annual Christmas show. It's gonna be an episode of Flashback Tracks from the past where we play some music and talk a lot about retro gaming on C64, Amiga, Sega, Nintendo, whatever, what have you. I hope you're gonna enjoy it and this episode comes out in a week from now.But for today it's Christmas show and Christmas music only. We are going on with the prime time of TRSI Records and Awakening Day.
I'm gonna say it loudly and proudly. Die Hard is a Christmas movie. That's my opinion. Change my mind. Well, we're talking about the movie that has a very famous Christmas song. It's called Let It Snow and we're gonna play it. Who exactly made this version, this track music version? I don't know. It's an unknown tracker artist, but it's really nice.
cheerful song if you ask me. We are going to play a number of nice Christmas songs and maybe it will be some sort of jingle bell overload because sometimes there are different remixes from different artists. I hope that's okay with you. We are going on with Nemesis of Zenon and Christmas Joy.
I used to be a community broadcaster Broadcasting on a very small radio station here in Stockholm And we always spoke on the music that is the music started and we spoke until artists started singing And it wasn't like that back in the day I kind of like to go back to the 60s and 70s over broadcasting as you know I don't speak on the intros very much. I let the music talk for themselves, so please enjoyhaving music that is well not really poisoned by lot of DJs like me then talking when really there is no reason for it. We are going on with MadGod and 2t2m and Christmas song.
News from the demo scene folks. A few days ago, Inertia, a demo party in Portugal, it concluded. And there seems to be a little batch of nice track tunes that were released on the competition that ran on the demo party. We're gonna sort them through and see what's what. In a few weeks from now, I'm gonna sort it out and make sure that you get a demo scene coverage episode with Inertia and other demo parties that we haven't missed. But while you're waiting for that, we're going on with nothing more, nothing less than Joe Muck 2015 and the Hall of Fame.
This just in, Ericade. Radio, the website has been upgraded, updated or whatever you want to call it. It's our principal designer, Kurius, that has released a new update. And what's going on there? Look at it and you will see that the podcast list is much easier to read, looks better and it's well, updated I guess. So more updates coming in near future, but for the time being, go to Ericade. Radio and enjoy.Next up is Jalek W The Lombax and Holiday.
A little bit of heads up, I got some plans for an upcoming episode in the near future. It's gonna be another of those only Amiga stuff where we play only Amiga songs. They have been very popular actually. Normally we play everything from impulse tracker, fast tracker, scream tracker, what have you tracker. But this is gonna be a Amiga modules like pre-tracker, pro-tracker and stuff, noise tracker. Well, it's the same thing basically. So, well, I hope you're looking forward to that. Onwards, it's time for Arcturus and an Arcturus Christmas.
U-Tune 2? Well, that's kind of an anachronistic term, isn't it? You are listening to Flashback, Tracks from the Past with me, DJ Demon, and we are playing all the nicest little tracked Christmas tunes that I could find. We are going on with Necros and December, it's true, it is December.
We have come to that part of the show where it's time for the second medley of today. You get three tunes in a row and it starts with Boomer and Jingle Bells, the Santa sucks edition. Well, that's his name of it and I did not invent that. Santa is awesome really. He looks like my father. Really interesting. Going on with Mr. Jerome and Jingle Bells mix. Yes, another of those and then it's Dan...PhD Night and Silent Night.
Spanish is really rusty as in I don't know I don't speak even a single word of it I can say cerveza which I know means beer Yeah, that's the whole thing So we're going on with LHS and Feliz Navidad remix and I believe Feliz Navidad simply means Merry Christmas in Spanish.
As fun as this has been, it's time to say goodbye for this episode of Flashback, Tracks from the past with me DJ Demon. Leading you into that good night would be nothing more and nothing less than Lodacchi and Christmas intro and final song would be Yuchan, Swedish artist Yuchan with Snowflakes. No, not the one we have on the station, this is a special remix that only exists in this show. Enjoy!
And remember, while you're waiting for the next episode of Flashback, you can always go to Ericade. Radio to get your Christmas and non-Christmas track music fill. Ericade. Radio, go there now.
