Time for flashback! Tracks from the past! With your host, DJ Daemon! The summer is blazingly hot and we are starting this hour up with Joss and Shoresco. It was released less than a week ago, so yes, the mod trackers are still active and at it!
Well, news for me is that my work will start again on this Monday, but I think it's gonna be cool. Not the weather of course, but there won't be too many people asking too many questions. Well, we are going on with Darkman 007 with sad song.
We need more medleys, less sad songs. So let's do the first medley of the day. It's Ninja, and I assure you, you're gonna hear more from him in this program. It's Neon Lights in Rain, then it's Keb Corp with Sha Tu Szech, and last, Michael Wilsynske with Strange Encounter.
It's about one year since we had the last interview. It was FsFreak and we are going to give you something really cool in a few weeks. It's a sysop that remembers the 90s and how cool the whole scene was. So me and him, we're gonna talk about old memories and remember those things that people may not want us to, really. But that's for another day.Today we are playing the music and Drax is next up with a new one, Burning Bridges.
artistry from Durex and he's Danish. Next up is Joel and Malmen, Swedish with T's or P's.
Nice and sweet and makes me dream about my Amiga days. We're going on with James of Nuance and Chemical Emotion.
Do you remember those ransom letter notes? The ones from the Hollywood movies? Yeah? They used to have different letters from different newspapers. And that's kinda how the next song sounds. It's a song called Playing with Death, but it's actually Nighthawk playing with samplers.
Nighthawk gets another chance. Next song is by him and it's called Rainbow Runner. He takes some help from Norfair and he's also remixing his own song called Peaceful Journey. You heard it on the station, super popular. Is it better or the same? I leave that to you to decide.
Next week, this Friday, it will be the 22nd of July, then Edison Demo Party opens its doors here in Stockholm. Will we cover it? Yes, we will. I don't know exactly how and how much, but I promise you there will be a top-list episode. This is standard for all big demo parties. While you're waiting for more information, listen to Lovia and Himalaya.
I'm browsing through the demo parties in DemoParty.net and for July I'm noting that Dehalt, the summer edition, is coming soon, on the 29th of July. Yes, it's a Russian demo party, so maybe controversial for some. And Eddison, as I spoke about, let me remind me, it's physical, you can go there, it's in northern Stockholm here in Sweden.and it's opening at 3 o'clock in the Austrian known Swedish time going on with necros and mysticists.
Time for the second medley of today. It's the Ninja Medley. Because it's three times ninja. The artist that is. First Saddam, then Listerpad, and last is old school Mam-Wii-Kurvj. I'm not making that up. It's the name, you can read it in the liner notes.
You're tuned to Flashback, tracks from the past, and I'm DJ Daemon. We're playing... what do we call it? We call it tracked music or tracker music. But out on YouTube it's called stuff like retro electro, ship tunes, ship wave or synth wave. Whatever you want to call it, we're playing it and it's awesome. Going on with Radix and a shogun named Paul.
In a few weeks you get Assembly Summer 2022. It's on the 4th to 7th of August. And while you're waiting, let's listen to the Assembly 94 invitation. Yeah, it's from Purple Motion. Thanks for listening, this is Flashback Tracks from the Past. I'm DJ Daemon and we're leading you into the good night with that and then it's twice. Dr. Awesome!
First up it's Doctor Awesome's spin jam, the in-game tune from Yeah That Game. And final song will be Siege of Avalon, track number three. A lifetime of moments. Thanks for listening and remember, erikade.radio is the website.
