And we don’t know who won at this time. First out is ADKD of Defiance with a song is called St-svarup jedi 2. ADKD is Norwegian and goes by a lot of names like Kefir, Slimer and Govatsapadam. The song take me back to the early 90s in front of my Amiga. It doesn’t get more module than this. Awesome!

- 206:17 DJ Daemon speaks: The second and last tune from Forndata comes from KRDN or Cordon of Defiance. Swedish artist with a lot of experience in the competitions throughtout the years. Exactly like ADKD. The tune is called Mirakelkur, which is Swedish for “Miracle cure”. Not too hard to guess, eh? The tune has a lot of nice chords that feels the right kind of “synthy”. Sweet.

Time for flashback. Tracks from the past. Today with another demo party top list. If you blinked, you might have missed it, and I almost did. Forndata 2022 is on. Only for today, on the 4th of June. And I got something for you. The compo tunes. And you hear them here just mere minutes after they were revealed on the compo. That's unique. And so is FornData. That's today's subject.
really short tune is Louis and Serbia Pride. Good and bad news. The good ones? That's... We have the tunes! And thus time for a demo scene top list. The bad news. Only two tunes for this compo. And we don't know who won at this time. First out is ADKD of Defiance with a song called ST Svarup Jedi 2.ADKD is Norwegian and goes by a lot of names like Keafer, Slimer and Gottsvaatsapadam. The song takes me back to the early 90s in front of my Amiga. It doesn't get more module than this. Awesome!
From Amiga 4 channels, let's go to Impulse Tracker. The second and last tune from Fondata, comes from KRDN or Chorden of Defiance. Swedish artist with a lot of experience in competitions throughout the years. Exactly like ADKD. The tune is called Mirakel Kur, which is Swedish for Miracle Cure. Not too hard to guess, The tune has a lot of nice chords,And it feels the right kind of synthy. Sweet!
To allude to the comic book guy. Shortest demo toplist ever. Well, Fondata has had some problems. They didn't get enough people, enough attendancy to actually hold it in a physical location. And that's sad because Visby is beautiful here in Sweden in the summer. It would have been awesome to go to that town as it's very medieval in a beautiful way. Okay? But it's a great online party with a lot of attendancy from the whole world. So we have that at least. We're gonna talk more about it, but we are going on with the music. It's Aso or Jess Whirly and the song is called Sonora.
rest of the hour it's all about the best and newest commented music on ModArchive. It's a staple here on the station. Eracade.radio and Flashback, tracks from the past. I'm DJ Demon and we are going on with Peter Salomonsson and a better way. But before that I want to say we are looking at some demos here. I'm looking at the live stream from Fondata and it's great. And they're showing Amiga demos. And they also had two interviews. Let's talk about them. But the music.
Fondata has always been about interesting demos and music and stuff all demo parties are but they have also had really interesting interviews. Last year they interviewed Anders Yggeman who is a minister in the Swedish government and today, this day, they had two interviews so far. The first one wasRetro Ninja is his handle and he talked about C64 and chips and all kind of stuff. Great really. And we had Frida. But music is the main thing of this station so we are going on with Karsten Obarski, the grandfather of everything that's tracked when it comes to music. It's called Jack Dance.
The second interview for today at PhoneData 2022, it was with Frida Katarina, Swedish woman who is a relatively newcomer to this scene. She's a Petsky artist. She's drawing with a Commodore 64 keyboard and the cymbals. She's awesome really, I've seen some of her work and she never even had a C64 back in the day. But that's kinda...what the whole scene is about. You don't have to remember your childhood with a lot of stuff. You can come right in here and see just how cool retro really is. We are going on with Jazz Cat and a train to Circus.
Last year we made a podcast episode and a broadcast from Fondata. Not on location of course, but we played all the winning and losing music. Back then they had 6 entries as opposed to 2 today. And the winner with 91 points was Polychromatic Fever by Grogan and ATBM. We haven't seen ATBM or Grogan or Slays or I don't know. That is kinda weird, I hope they come back to the demo scene. Maybe they didn't have time to attend this time, so to speak. On to the music. It's lavish of evoked and love connection, soft and sweet.
What's the future of Fondata then? I spoke to Björn or Rankyl as he's known in the scene. He's the main orga. He and two other guys make this happen. And he said this, that they had 20 submissions of material like art, like music.as opposed to 28 last year. And it is possible that they might scale back the operation or something, because they have a number of other very very successful things going on, like Svenska Commodore i klubben, and it seems right now as maybe they will put more effort into that. But nothing can be said right now. We'll see. I hope Fondata will go on, because it's awesome.
How I love is seeing the Amiga DOS prompt as Rankill is typing in commands to start the demos from a real Amiga. That's the way it's supposed to be done. Yes, absolutely. Emulation is fine, but it has some extra quality when you see it from the real deal. Really awesome. By the way, the last song was Soroks and Out of Order and we are going on with Sway and To Die For.
What's next on the demo scene horizon? That would be Shadow Party 2022. It runs on the 10th of June. Then we have to wait for a month until July, the first to third of July. Two parties at the same time, Gubdata here in Sweden and A-Rock Party 2022 in Hungary. That's Slay Radio territory and Siona comes from Hungary, so...Yeah, that's sweet. We also have to go on here and look at Sommarhack 2022 on the 8th of July, ACGG on the 12th of July, some nice stuff coming up, United States Kansas Fest, I don't know anything about that, but that's the 19th. And then the big thing for me at least, it's gonna be Erdison on the 22nd of July.
Weird but also very alluring sounds from DMM, Summer Dance and we are going on with Danish artist Drax, a rose of gold. So what's up with the podcast? What you're listening to here? Well, we will keep broadcasting throughout the summer. No vacation, at least nothing that will stop me from voicing and playing the great music. It's at EricAid.Radio.
I can't really give you a verdict about Fondata. It's still running and so far I really enjoyed myself. It started one hour later than planned. And that's par for the course, know. We talked about that earlier. The interviews we spoke about and what's upcoming, what's not done as I'm speaking here, that is the music composing that just started. The graphics composing, the ASCII and Cipetzky composing.demo compus reveal of results, sorry you will have to see that on the blog. And ok I can tell you about the finale, it's Sex Games Midnight Compo, because that's Fondata, that's how they roll.
Manker of Pathos with Folk Ballad. We got two tunes before we lead you into that good night and that would be Agatiziane, Dead Tracker with Take It Back and S-Trans with 1999. I'm DJ Demon and this is Flashback Tracks from the Past. You can hear this podcast and two radio stations with track music on Ericade. Radio. Thanks for listening!
We love the demo scene!
