Time for another episode of Flashback. Tracks from the past. Chill out, chill down, relax. It's time for another hour of great tracked music. And today we do just that. We chill out with the Modarchive and the genre with cool music. We're starting up with Reactor Grit and Bossanova. And they advise you to get to the fridge, get a refreshing cold drink.Go back to your computer, sit down.
Quite nice. The instrumentalist of this module, it continues saying: "Open the drink, forget all your stress for four minutes, start the song, listen and drink, close your eyes, done. How do you feel?" I don't know about you, but I feel better. We are going on with a free tune medley going on with Skaga, Bonfires in Heaven, Stinkbug, Bismut Chambers and Broomhatter sleeping outdoors.
You're tuned to Flashback, tracks from the past, and I'm DJ Daemon. Next up is Backlash Intro by Missy. And the comments we got from Modarchive, posted by Farhard Semil in 2021, rating it 10 out of 10. Really sad and good music, thanks to the composer and the heart of course. And the text reads Backlash Intro made for the Chemical Reaction Intro Factory. Tracked by Messi, remixed by Neomann.
I don't know, have you ever thought about a man or a woman in your head controlling you? No, I'm not saying you're crazy, but that's idea of hominunculi, or hominunculus, that's quite a thing to say. And that's the next song, it's from Aceman, but this one isn't crazy, more calm and soft and really nice. The comments? Yeah, we got them. Posted by ADKD in 2020, rating it 10 out of 10.Completely ace mod, technically really savvy and at the same time super fresh with its own kind of genius.
If you like this kind of music, go to modarchive.org and search for the genre that's called Chill Out. Next up, it's Deep Throat and Caves. And we are going off the deep end here. If you take a look at the instrument list, you can read, Remember, history is fake, UFOs are real. Okay, Mr. Tutokalis, I find you everywhere. Anyway, we got comments.Posted by Awesome Ducks. 2020, rating it 7 out of 10. Makes me feel cool. I like to lead. Not gonna lie, it makes me feel like I'm in the Amazon forest, but with a keyboard.
Can we get any better? Yeah, guess so. I think we actually have a lot of stuff here that rivals this quality. We are giving Reactor Grits another try. It's a song called She Walks By, and Reactor Grits, friendly enough, tells you exactly what it's about. Some soft instrumental hip-hop. And it was done in 1999. Alas, I don't have any comments, but I can give one of myself.Great tune, soft mellow, makes me feel good.
Just one little dangerous letter away from something else we have LCD, Alone with You and Beemoth, posting a really really nice comment, rating it 10 out of 10 in 2013. Just wow, this had me blown away. It's a beauty of a module, and one which really feels epic while you listen to it. Nothing else to say butPerfection it was curated by Magnar Hærestad, and I'm not sure if he is LCD.
So I checked it out. LCD is, in fact, Magnar Härestad. It's short for Lizard. We are going on with a lost boy and eternal memento. A memento is a memory of some kind. You can talk about memento mori, which is a reminder that one day you will die. Not a really good thing to think about. No, no, no. Let's talk about the comments instead. Saga Musics in 29.hosting a comment with 7 out of 10. He seems to be complaining about how big the file is. Never mind. But he says the tune itself is not too exciting. But it's not bad either.
Danish artist Thomas Morgensen. He's next, but you know him as Drex. In 2002, while a part of Maniacs of Noise, he composed the song that's called Forgotten Farewell. And comments? Absolutely. 8 out of 10. That's what Mushy Mushy in 2008 gave it. Another very good one by Drex. Some points knocked off.because of this slightly boring drum track, but great emotional melodies.
We are getting closer to Valpergis night here in Scandinavia, or Sweden. is flashback tracks from the past, and we are going on with Folk Ballad by Manka of Pathos. Comments? Mood writing. Nice relaxing piece. Very gentle, good mix. 8 out of 10.In 2009, Pip Malt, rating it 8 out of 10, says an excellent song let down by a few peculiar elements. One of the long violin playing samples, there is what appears to be clapping at the end, which sounds like really a bad loop. Ah, stop complaining, this is good.
I just checked the database and we actually have Rapture as a name both for a group and one song. So here is another one. It's Glitch and Rapture. And in Christian mythology so to speak. Rapture is when Jesus comes back and there is a big fight and the righteous people go to heaven. But the song? It gets rated 10 out of 10 by SSRI. He or she writes a great ambient chillout tune with easygoing steady drum loops and piano to keep things interesting. Required listening. Yeah, I agree. So let's do that.
I'm reading the instrument list for Detour by Ant One. That's the next song by the way. A chill out song I made in the middle of the night. A bit repetitive, but sleepy. Maybe someone likes it. Sorry? Yeah, yeah, yeah, it's great. Sorry for 4 megabytes. Of what? The song? This was back in the day I guess when diskettes were a thing and that was pretty big. Just remember trying to download 4 megabytes with a 14400 modem. No joy today, just swishes by.
As nice as this has been, it's time to say farewell. I'm DJ Demon and this is Flashback Tracks from the past. Tracks gets the last tune, or the last word, or whatever you want to say it. It's called Angel Lies. And if you like this podcast, we're back in a week. Every Saturday around 9 PM on the station. Go to EriKade. Radio. And I'm leading you into that good night.
