🎤 Production Notes
Colophone:No special meaning behind the title. It's "Rock and roll" and "Tracker music" in one word. Those episodes are the result of people complaining that I don't talk so much about the music itself. And I have noted that using the ModArchive comments is an easy way to give the listeners an expert commentary, as many of the commenters are tracker music artists themselves.

Time for another episode of Flashback! Tracks from the past! Tonight we're it! One hour with ROCK! They tracked it, we broadcasted, you rock it! To those about to rock, we salute you!
And that was Badliss, produced to AE. Okay, I will not try to sound like some hard rocker dude, because my voice box can't take it and I don't think you can either. We are going on with something really nice, it's a medley from Cybellus. Or I made it a medley that is. First up is Fix It Later, then comes A Week Ago and Buck Goes East. Comments, yeah we got them too.Vyrexor writing about fix it later, rating a 10 out of 10 in 2022. He writes yet another great fast paced song by Cybellus. I gotta say I love your avatar, it's a very cool looking pig.
Just a fair warning, there's gonna be lot of Sibelius today. He's very talented and you shouldn't be too shocked that he is actually Finnish. But this song is called A Million Dollars. And Virakster seems to be a hard rock connoisseur, because he writes, rating it 9 out of 10, some hard rock, pretty nice.
Sibelius had quite a ride on this station, but we have to give other artists a chance. Sibelius is pretty obviously Finnish because his name is a take on Sjan Sibelius, was a composer from Finland in the 19th century. Gavis with Firetruck is up next, and comments? Yeah, got him. Marco wrote in 2017, giving it 8 out of 10. Korn Song withnice instrumentals.
The next song has quite a cool story to it. It's Captain Blood in the alien ship, and the artist is an old friend, Cyborg Jeff. And he writes, End of the year 96 is a great moment for PPP Team Software. And he tells us that he will continue write songs for their games. And this one is a new song for...Bloodwar, which is an alien breed clone. I don't know if the game was ever released.
Few artists write insightful comments. But next up is David N. The song is called Be More Than Just a Number. And his comment is sad, but clever and makes you think of it. Have you ever seen The Flash? Everyone else has had more sex than me. That's where the idea for this song started. About the feeling that you have a number on you that everyone else can see and judge you by.People will try to manipulate you with that feeling. For an example, Lynx X-Clicks advert campaign with hand-held telecounters. That's almost exactly a real life version of what everyone else was saying, and tries to teach you that you're only worth your number. It happens in electronic world where everything is measured too. There is an ever-present feeling of the competition against each other. But you are not your page views, comments or the number of favorites you get. What matters most is how you are as a person. If you concentrate on only the numbers that make up your popularity, you're not truly yourself.
David N seems to be a thinking man. He gets the next song as well. It's called Welcome to the Machine. He writes in his commentary. Welcome to the Machine. Despite the title, this isn't the cover of the Pink Floyd song. In fact, the inspiration for the title comes from a particularly terrifying level of Echo the Dolphin, which I later learned took its name from said Pink Floyd song anyway.I know I said I was fed up with writing concept albums, but the songs turned out to have a theme running through it after all. A mix of commentary on how we run our real lives on computers and retreat into a virtual world to have online personas as well.
We're going on with Eliya and Hey D. Two comments. It's Arne Puschelsky. You remember him from last week? In 2009 he rated the song 9 out of 10 and wrote A very good soft rock, rock and metal track. Very good samples and songwriting. The song lives on from the harmony and the melody. Very good composition.Pip Malt, yes another of those artists, he wrote in 2009, ranking it 8 out of 10. This song goes through many stages, soft rock, hard rock and even flat out metal they are on display. Good samples!
Alright rock and roll man! So we are continuing with Aroma of Spite. It's from 2002 by or EM022000. He writes hello to all who like heavy metal and other metal music. Special hello to all my friends. Hatebreeder, Halloween, Fior, Shiroo, Atako and...From Angel, also hello to my brother Darkman. That is quite a gang of really nasty names. Probably nice people though.
This is Flashback, tracks from the past, and I'm DJ Demon. We're rocking on with Gargoyle and Echo. Comments? Yep, we got em. It's Techno John in 2011, rating it 8 out of 10. He writes, Very well done. The singing is done well, as well as the processing on it. I like that break that happens somewhere around pattern 52. Good tripletting too.Overall I thoroughly enjoyed this piece, can't wait to hear more of your stuff. CKD wrote in 2001, rating it 9 out of 10. Gargoyle has done really good work again, as usual. Not much to complain in this tune, very good melodies and a couple of solos keep this tune interesting from start to end.
It's time to walk into that good night. My name is DJ Demon and next Saturday at 9 PM Swedish time you get another episode of Flashback Tracks from the Past. And this episode will be out on your podcast player in a few hours. We will walk right into that good night with Ivanhoe, Harley D. Warrior, Minol, High Blood Pressure and Quasian, Damask Rose.
