# Ericade Radio (radio.ericade.net)

> Ericade Radio is a 24/7 internet radio station built around the demoscene, the chiptune community and the tracker music scene — not just a stream of retro-sounding music, but an active participant in the culture it plays. We broadcast tracked music composed on the Amiga and retro PC (Protracker, Soundtracker, Scream Tracker, Fasttracker, Impulse Tracker), document the artists behind it, and produce a weekly podcast about the demoscene, chiptune culture and retro computing.

Originally launched in 2005 and relaunched in 2020 after a five-year hiatus, Ericade Radio is run by DJ Daemon (Erik Zalitis) — an organizer of the Swedish demoparty Edison — together with cohost Coreus and a small crew of retro-computing enthusiasts. On-air genres are chiptune, synthwave, chipwave and retro electro, almost entirely tracked music rather than sample-based production.

Our flagship podcast, "Flashback, tracks from the past," pairs curated tracker music with commentary and reporting on Amiga/C64/retro-PC history, demoparty coverage (Revision, Edison, Shadow Party) and interviews with scene artists and community guests — including chiptune musician Tekmann, who composes solely on modified Game Boy hardware.
